Odds & Ends For Sale
We occasionally have various items that are taking up space around the Lab and we are always willing to offer them to you at a fair price.
Economy Bridges
Gatcomb Economy model banjo bridges. Three-post, thin bridges constructed of oak. These bridges come "raw" or with an oil finish. (Or, for a small fee, we can give yours a nitro or poly finish.) Ten hand-crafted bridges left, all cut to a height of 5/8". These are slotted for five-string banjos with a 1-11/16" string spacing, though they can be shaved and reslotted for different spacing and height. --$3.00 each--
Headstock & Heel cap Veneer
3" x 7-7/8", these walnut veneers are what we frequently put on the headstocks of our banjos, ukuleles and mandolins. These are .05" thick and are also suitable for heel caps.
--$4.00 each--
We also have some that measure 3" x 5" for smaller jobs.

Neck Blank #1
A beautiful piece of figured maple right here. Features a little bit of flame and a little bit of birdseye. Look at that grain! Measures 5-11/16" x 27-7/16". About 3/4" thick (.77"), it's slightly thinner than Fender necks, but it's become our preferred lumber. Sourced from right here in Maine where the maples are harder than they have any right to be.
This blank will make two Telecaster-type necks. (We quickly penciled the outlines of the necks onto the wood for reference. They show the Telecaster headstock, which is a registered trademark owned by FMIC. Be creative and come up with your own unique design.)
