Exotic Cosmonaut
We received a lot of praise for our Mando 59, the experimental prototype electric mandolin we built for our friend, Dean. Which was encouraging. Seems a lot of you like gaudy extravagance as much as we do; sometimes being decadent is the only way to be. Of all the unusual features found on the Mando 59, the custom zebra print control plates seemed to garner the most attention. In keeping with the zebra print theme, we outfitted this surfy project with a custom pickguard.
And we didn't stop there with the oddball features.
This Cosmonaut's got a scalloped fretboard (from the 17th to the 21st frets), jeweled inlays up to the 15th fret, jeweled "trem lock" device, vintage style knobs, T.O.M. bridge, and custom pickup covers.
